The winemaker

The vineyard, tilted the Gironde on the border of the Margaux appellation, enjoys an exceptional exhibition, which causes the grapes to perfect maturity. Planted on the former marshes, ten hectares of vines in this area benefit from a clay loam soil and a special exhibition conducive to perfect ripening berries. The current name Tayet Castle in 1994. Formerly the vineyard is found under "Raw Noah" (owner: Raymond son) and later under "Château Les Charmilles". When the owner, Marc Raymond, manager at Château Haut Breton Larigaudière, decided in 1993 to retire, the family De Schepper continued operation of the domain at that time totaled 7 hectares. The current owner, SCEA Château Haut Breton Larigaudière, decided to change "Les Charmilles" in "Tayet" given the large number of homonyms in Bordeaux. Jacques De Schepper and his technical director, Jean-Michel Garcion, aware of the potential in this property and wanting to increase awareness of this vintage have since made every effort to marry the concentration and elegance with flexibility and finesse. Twice, in 1999, the property is growing and production area will total 10 hectares in 2003. The bottling is done at the castle and Castle Tayet since 1994 Jean-Michel Garcion developing a Special Cuvée after aging in barrels (about 12 months at 50% new barrels).
