The winemaker

The field of Darlan consists of 10 hectares of vineyards and 3 hectares of woods. Planting density of 5,500 vines per hectare. The 3.5 hectares of white consist of 95% Semillon and Muscadelle 5%. For the red, there is a high proportion of Merlot, 60% and full Cabernet Sauvignon this distribution. The average age of the vines is 40 years. The deep gravel on clay subsoil are at the top of these ridges typical of the 1st Cotes de Bordeaux Cadillac. This land is the source of all the power and complexity of the wines produced.
