Lestonnat is a family of wines. Joost and Miguela Villebois are the proud owners. The name Lestonnat has a particular connotation. It refers to the beautiful place where was born the dream of creating a winery in Bordeaux. In the Bordeaux region, the concept of terroir plays a vital role in the production of wine, large areas to produce local wines that reflect their origin, often from grapes harvested in a single vineyard. The soil of Bordeaux is made up of gravel, sand stone and clay. The best vineyards in the region are located on well-drained gravel soils that are frequently found near the Gironde. Throughout the year, the vineyards are traditionally managed with respect for the environment.
