The winemaker

The Bouey family's winegrowing adventure began in 1821, when Jean Bouey acquired his first parcel of vines in the heart of the Médoc. Today, in addition to its own wine estates, the Bouey family owns its own Maison de Negoce and can boast partnerships with over a hundred Châteaux.

Proud of its independence, Maison Bouey is today run by its sole shareholders Patrick Bouey, Chairman, and Jacques Bouey, Vice-Chairman. They present their work today in these words: "We have inherited the ancestral know-how of caring for the vines and making great wines.
This heritage obliges us, today more than ever, to raise wine in harmony with nature, to protect and bring to life the land and surrounding biodiversity, to cultivate with the gestures of yesteryear while introducing the expertise of today's technologies.

Creating, and passing on around the world, Bordeaux wines that the next generation will continue to love and share. As proud as ever of their identity, but even closer to their terroir, more authentic, ethical and convivial. This is our mission, and that of the hundred or so people who work with us every day.
