The winemaker
The Bouey family's winegrowing adventure began in 1821 when Jean Bouey acquired his first plot of vines in the heart of the Médoc. Today, in addition to its own wine estates, the Bouey family owns its own trading house and can boast partnerships with more than a hundred Châteaux.
Proud of its independence, Maison Bouey is today managed by its sole shareholders Patrick Bouey, President, and Jacques Bouey, Vice President. They present their work today in these words: "We have inherited the ancestral know-how of caring for the vines and making great wines.
This heritage obliges us, today more than ever, to raise wine in harmony with nature, to protect and bring to life the land and the surrounding biodiversity, to cultivate with the gestures of yesteryear while introducing the expertise of today's technologies.
Creating, and passing on around the world, Bordeaux wines that the next generation will continue to love and share. Still proud of their identity, but even closer to their terroir, more authentic, ethical and convivial. This is our mission, and that of the hundred or so people who work with us every day.
