Château Kirwan is a 3ème Grand Cru Classé en 1855 in the Margaux appellation. The estate's second wine, Charmes de Kirwan, was launched in 1993. Produced with the same care and attention as the first wine, it comes from the harvest of the vineyard's young vines. Round, seductive and full of finesse, it lives up to its name. This vintage was awarded 90/100 by James Suckling "himself". To produce this wine, the grapes are vinified to bring out the fruit. Les Charmes de Kirwan is harvested from the sandiest plots and the youngest vines. It is supple, elegant and fruity. This wine can be enjoyed young, but its concentration means it will improve with age.

Appearance
The color is dark, almost black like the color of the fruit.
Aroma
The 1st nose reveals luscious notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry... on the palate, this magnificent basket of ripe fruit is complemented by a delicate woody note for added complexity.

Taste
The attack on the palate is fresh and lively, but soon becomes softer, with a pleasant roundness. A few creamy notes add an extra touch of fatness, and the tasting ends with lovely spicy aromas.
