In a few words ...

C des Carmes, Pessac-Léognan, is the second wine of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, "one of the appellation's hottest growths in recent years" (La RVF). Formerly known as Clos des Carmes, it is made from Merlot (51%), Cabernet Franc (48%) and Petit Verdot (1%) grapes. The grapes were harvested by hand between September 21 and October 8, 2016. This is a wine with intense, fruity and spicy aromas, reminiscent of wild berries and licorice, with smoky notes.

A refined 2017 Pessac-Léognan: notes of blackcurrant, cedar and vanilla. Balanced palate, silky tannins. Ideal with duck breast or a dish in sauce. A second wine of the highest level
