In a few words ...
Round and elegant. The mild winter and spring of 2016 were followed by a fairly dry summer. The rains at the beginning of September enabled the grapes to reach perfect ripeness and to be harvested in the best possible conditions. In addition, the presence in the field and expertise of Baron Philippe de Rothschild's oenologists helped optimize and guarantee a great vintage.

Appearance
A ruby-red color with dark garnet highlights.
Aroma
The nose initially reveals sweet spices (saffron, cardamom), followed by aromas of jammy red and black fruits (wild strawberry, cherry, blackberry).

Taste
The attack is full-bodied, with a multitude of fruit aromas. The mid-palate is elegant and racy, with supple tannins. The smooth finish concludes the wine with notes of sweet spices.
