    In a few words ...

Produced from the same vineyard and with the same rigor as the grand vin, La Dame de Montrose, from a second selection, is a predominantly Merlot wine, supple and silky. Its pronounced red fruit aromas are another expression of the terroir in a style all its own. J. Suckling : 91-92/100

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

    Aroma

The bouquet reveals notes of cassis, violet, mocha, vanilla, spices and licorice.

    Taste

The wines of Saint-Estèphe have strong tannins and thus reach their maturity more slowly than most other medals. They offer black fruits, a note of freshness, often a woody or smoky aspect and a floral touch.

The 2nd wine is often as good as the 1st wine Château Montrose, especially in this 2016 vintage: everything is there (red and black fruit, acidity, structure...). Unbeatable price for quality.
