Since 1997, it has belonged to the Merlaut family, merchants in Bordeaux. Jean Merlaut is honorably in charge, keeping the wines at their best. From a vineyard with an average age of 46 years, dominated by Cabernet-Sauvignon (61%) and Merlot (29%), Gruaud Larose wines present an increasingly charming profile, without lacking race or depth, with immense ageing potential.

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.
