The winemaker

The POYANNE Château part of the production of Albert Schweitzer Vineyards is a very old thought of the town of Gauriac that is found in all directories fine wines of Bordeaux hundred and fifty years, he was classified as "Cru Bourgeois" in 1855. Purchased 1962 this area was completely replanted, because the owners are committed to continue the tradition of quality that has earned the reputation of this Cru. With land of hills limestone starfish, surface coated with silt, and careful selection of grapes, Château Poyanne produces a full-bodied, elegant dress with a fruity bouquet, where power is combined with the charm and finesse, qualities that develop with age. On the palate, a nice ample and delicate concentration characteristic terroir "Bourgeais". A neat and careful winemaking, followed by long aging in vats for 12 to 24 months; and an aged part in French oak barrels. The entire crop is then bottled at the castle. The POYANNE castle will be very appreciated by connoisseurs of meat, as well as strong cheeses with which it forms the happiest of marriages. Numerous awards have come, rightly point out the many qualities of this wine.
