The winemaker

In 1987 was created a specific appellation, Pessac-Léognan, whose territory covers a dozen of South of Bordeaux. Here we find the most beautiful gravel outcrops in the region and most of the most prestigious castles . These specific soils have the property to store the sun's heat and return to the plant, allowing the Cabernet Sauvignon, the king grape of the region, to achieve a good level of maturity. the Naudin-Larchey Castle is on one of these beautiful gravelly near the village of Martillac, in the immediate vicinity of the Grand Cru Classé of Pessac-Léognan. the vineyard of Château Naudin-Larchey covers 9 hectares divided between Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%) . Aged 12 to 15 months in barrels and built around a traditional blend between Cabernet Sauvignon for the structure and complexity, and Merlot for the roundness of the fruit, the Castle offers Naudin Larchey Wine a beautiful classicism: the nose is fine, marked by spices and smoky notes. In the mouth, we favor the expression of the fruit through a pretty material, fine tannins and freshness easily digestible. These wines designed to be enjoyable in their youth also have the shoulders to thrive few years. Source: Eccevino
