The winemaker

The story begins in 1898, when Jean Janoueix, great-father of Pierre Emmanuel and inhabitant of Corrèze, decided to start in the wine trade and settled as a trader in Meymac-près-Bordeaux. At ease with farmers, farmer himself, he decided to sell his wines with Northwest farms in France, richer than those of Corrèze. A few years later, his four son joined him and in 1930, the family acquired its first vineyards in Bordeaux. In 1945, the son decide to separate and thus Francis, a son of John, bought Château La Bastienne then classified "1st Grand Cru Mountain." Two years later, Peter, the eldest son of François, father of Pierre-Emmanuel begins his tours in Normandy to market the wines of his father, as did his grandfather. The family continues to acquire vineyards around Saint-Emilion, the Chateau Grand Gabachot Furrows in Pomerol, bought by Peter. It was during one of his tours in the Channel that Peter meets his wife Antoinette. Therefore, he settled permanently in Normandy, left his brother and sisters care, among other things, to exploit its properties and is responsible for marketing wines of all siblings in Normandy. In 1974 born his son Pierre-Emmanuel.
