The winemaker

On the right bank of the Garonne River nearby, the town of Bouliac hosts the vineyard of Château Montjouan a few kilometers south of Bordeaux. The property overlooks the river and offers visitors a beautiful view of Bordeaux and its surroundings. Canon Pey Berland (born in 1375), Bouliac priest had his country house in what is now the vineyard to the place of Jouan vegetable garden that gave its name to the property. The existence of the vines dates back to the 16th century. This property was acquired in 1986 by the family THE BARAZER (4.5 ha) which is held for 17 vintages. In 2003 she was assigned to the YUNG family.
