Located in chambolle-musigny, domaine comte georges de vogüé is one of côte-d'or's leading estates. It owns the largest parcel of musigny grand cru, complemented by a number of magnificent crus, including chambolle-musigny les amoureuses, bonnes-mares and a rare musigny blanc (downgraded to white burgundy between 1993 and 2015, following replanting). Musigny (red) vines less than 25 years old are replanted into Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru. The wines of this estate have always been held up as an example of consistency, refinement and longevity. They give a very pure reading of the terroir, with fruit of great clarity, wines that are all delicacy and nuance, never demonstrative. Their cool beauty also reflects the vision that François Millet, who vinified 32 harvests at the domaine, has forged of these exceptional terroirs. We appreciate his judicious choices, and the innate elegance he imparts to these unfashionable wines.
