The winemaker

This is Mr. Monthelie who founded the field, there are more than 300 years. The old squirrel press yet installed in its original place from this period, served until 1932. Mr. Monthelie had two children, a son (Doctor Monthelie) and a daughter (Alix), they will succeed him at the head of the farm, the Domaine Monthelie-Douhairet then makes 12 hectares. At their death, both daughters Alix Charlotte Armande, decide together to hold the reins of the estate. In the early 70s, Charlotte decides to sell his share, to the despair of Armande who can not redeem the property of his sister. The estate will be divided in two, "Miss Armande," will continue to operate, make wine, to bottle and market the 6 hectares has left. In 1989, Armande partners with his adopted son, Andrew Porcheret. Together they founded the Domaine Monthelie-Douhairet-Porcheret. 2004 Burgundy loses a "great lady of wine," April 20 "Miss Armande" goes out. To date the field always has 6 hectares, André Porcheret joined by his granddaughter Cataldina, directs.
