The domain Fichet is located in southern Burgundy in a small village named "Ige", specifically in the hamlet Martoret. From a family of wine growers for generations, only Francis Fichet took the risk of creating its field by withdrawing from the cooperative of the village, in a field 1976.Le wine crisis then had about 11ha of vineyards, 3/4 of which were varieties of Gamay and Pinot Black, the rest being Chardonnay. Francis Fichet, who did not experience, yet has quickly mastered the critical step of winemaking, claiming his talent mainly with the red varieties, Gamay and Pinot Black. By offering quality wines, Francis Fichet has gained notoriety with the wine world. Before his eldest son, Pierre-Yves, partners with him in 1988, Francis Fichet marketed at that time between 45000 to 50000 bottles per year.
