The winemaker

Le Rossignol-Cornu Domaine has its origins in the union of two families: Rossignol and Cornu. The vineyards on Volnay, Pommard and Meursault are from the Rossignol family that has its roots in Volnay for generations. The vines allowances lying in Pernand-Vergelesses are the legacy of the Cornu family. Didier Rossignol is the head of this area of ​​about 5 hectares since 1989 after taking over from his father. Today, his eldest son Alexander joined recently and wants to perpetuate the family business. The vineyard, whose average age is 40 years, is grown according to the specifications unique to each denomination and reasoned manner. The wines are made in the respect for tradition, combining modernity and know-how. They are aged in oak barrels for several months (between 12 and 18 depending on the appellation) before being bottled at the property.
