The winemaker

The first Louis was from Georgia. Yevgeny Max learned to love Burgundy through the stories that his father gave him when he was a wine merchant, joined the army of Tsar Alexander 1. In 1859, Yevgeny young exiled to his arrival in France, started his own trading house in Nuits-Saint-Georges. It is naturally under the label Louis Father and Son, Max Laurent, in 2007, decided to name his new home, now located in the beautiful Hotel d'Ivry in the heart of Beaune. Thirty years of experience at the head of the family business gave Laurent Max taste of excellence, a legitimate local presence and national and international customer network extends to China. Laurent Max has forged over the years a privileged relationship with the most famous restaurants in the world, the major airlines, the most renowned sommeliers. After selling the family brand in 2006, it is this knowledge that he decided to serve this new love story and tradition that is the creation of the Louis Father & Son. Laurent Max is powered by two qualities: curiosity and requirement. The requirement for the quality of wines it produces, its network of friendship, trust contracts it has with the father of winemakers son, guarantee the quality of supplies. He knows how to communicate his passion for Burgundy wines, in France and abroad. The house Louis Father & Son operates a vineyard divided between Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits (Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Corton, Vosne Romanee, Clos Vougeot) as well as Chablis and Mercurey.
