In a few words ...
The estate's monopoly, this 3.5-hectare parcel is located just below Perrière, on a former quarry. The soil is composed of pink Premeaux limestone, with clay on the lower slopes. For the record, in the 1930s, Henri Gouges was inspecting his Clos des Porrets vines when he discovered a bunch of white grapes on a Pinot Noir vine!
Tasting notes
Aroma
The first nose of fresh red summer fruit gives way to a more mature evolution of fresh minty blackcurrant and subtle sweet spices. The second nose evokes noble leather, cigar and camphor.
Taste
La bouche est puissante aux tanins fermes et croquants. Belle allonge en finale.

Deep, dark ruby color with purplish highlights. Fresh red fruit on the nose: Morello cherry, raspberry, redcurrant. Straightforward, taut on the palate.
