The winemaker
Five generations of winemakers have worked on this area founded in 1822 with 15 hectares of vineyards spread over 31 to chardonnay dominant plots and Pinot Meunier (50% and 40% of the vineyard). It is precisely these plots in the best terroirs that give Bauget-Jouette champagnes their beautiful typicality. Thus, the Blanc de Blancs 2008, assembly of large Chardonnay wines, is expressed by bubbles of extreme delicacy. On the palate, we find aromas of pear, toast, with a spicy finish. The Grande Reserve, more focused on the candied fruit, is a powerful and rich wine with a nice length. The Jouette wine (tribute to Suzanne Bauget born Jouette, who represented the brand for more than sixty years) is from the best terroir of the vineyard. Blend 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, this wine is pale; found in the nose aromas of white flowers, and the palace, the candied fruit prevails, with a pinot noir that is expressed in the most beautiful way.
