In the mid-nineteenth century, this woman from the Champagne region would select with great care the best vines by affixing their trunk paint line. The size of wood taken from these vines were used for replanting. This technique, called mass selection, allowed us to carefully cultivate the exceptional character of Pinot Noir Ecueil, which now brings to our wines all their power and finesse.
