The winemaker

The history of the house Marc takes root in 1626, when Monsignor Francis Baradat, wealthy owner of a vineyard in Fleury-la-Rivière in Champagne, favorite and first gentleman of Louis XIII, is exiled by Richelieu for love affairs and provoking a duel the Marquis de Seguier. Lord of Fleury-la-Rivière, François Baradat then returns on its land, known at the time for their production of red wine before returning the favor of the King to the death of Richelieu. Returning to the court, he bequeathed his estate; This is the legacy of Arthur Marc Champagne. In its own way, the house Marc celebrates the passionate nature of this exceptional legatee adorning its vintages of a medallion that crosses swords, illuminated by bright sunshine symbol of royalty. Marc La Maison offers a strange land, conducive to the development of exceptional wines. His thirty vines, deeply rooted on a clay and limestone, are consistent with a benefactor sun bathing its hillsides and light gorging its fruit sugar and generous aromas. Black Pinot, Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, the three varieties of Champagne are represented allowing the House to create rich and varied wines.
