The winemaker

The Cave Coopérative des Riceys brings together 55 winegrowers who share the same values of terroir and Champagne traditions. The idea for the cooperative arose from the difficulties of selling wine in the 1920s, when 14 winegrowers joined forces. It is the only Champagne vineyard to cover 3 different appellations: Champagne, Rosé des Riceys and Coteaux Champenois. The 95 hectares of vines are tended with passion and self-sacrifice by talented men and women who have dedicated their lives to Champagne. The Marquis de Pomereuil is their flagship cuvée.
