The winemaker
Cecile Grongnet is the fifth generation of the family Grongnet to lead this operation and it does almost everything by itself. The Champagne house was in the same spot since 1885, when his great grandfather started the company. They are located in the village of Etoges, which is in the middle of the Côte des Blancs Champagne. They are one of only 26 Champagne houses to be part of the "Special Club", an exclusive club consisting only of the best Champagne houses elected by their peers. The wines it produces all have a very low dose and most suffer no malolatique fermentation. This means that the grapes they use are of the highest quality; Otherwise the end result would be austere and unbalanced.
