the name of the town of Louvois We can not talk without referring to the castle that faces the home of Champagne Guy de Chassey. This one was built in the early twelfth century and was the property Gaucher de Chatillon, first lord of Louvois. The ancient castle, after many vicissitudes was in ruins when it was bought by Michel Tellier; father of the famous Louvois, minister of Louis XIV. The Castle belonged later to the ladies of France and Marie Antoinette lived there; then in the throes of revolution and only parts of the magnificent building remain today.
