Admirably exposed on a hillside dominating the Gulf of Figari, Domaine de la Murta is located on the area of ​​Figari name, an already touted by Cato vineyard Old. Created in 1965, the estate is run by John Paul Cantara, a strong supporter of the ampelographic tradition of the region. Heir of a know transmitted since 1885 from father to son, he cultivates the vineyard since 2002 and enjoys the organic label AB certified by ECOCERT. Located on a mid-alluvial tray halfway granite very old and very dry, the vineyard enjoys the benefits of the wind, frequently rushing to nearly 150 km / h in the Gulf of Figari, contributes to the consolidation vines. Occupying an area of ​​8 hectares, the vineyard is home to the traditional grape varieties of the appellation Vin de Corse Figari but also feet Carcajolu Neru, a grape that adds a touch of complexity and finesse red wine produced at the Domaine. The field has been enriched with the range Cardo. This year, the wines of the Murta were still hoisted in places of honor the winners of the Corsican Wine Guide.
