Domaine fumey chatelain - vin jaunethe domaine fumey chatelain is located in montigny-lès-arsures, in the jura region. It was founded by raphaël fumey and adeline chatelain in 1986. With 56 ares of vines, they began producing and selling grapes. In the spring of 1991, a terrible frost episode left them with so few grapes that they decided to vinify them themselves, signing their first vintage. They expanded the business by borrowing cellars and unused barrels from other winemakers, before settling in a ruined farmhouse. Today, the estate boasts 17 hectares of vines, and their son, a sailor, joins them after having made wine several times in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The domaine is currently under integrated farming methods, with the intention of converting to organic farming in the coming years. The yellow wine is made from Savagnin grapes grown on marl soils. The wine is aged for 7 years in 228-liter barrels under veil.cépage : 100% savagnin
