The winemaker

The Star presents its wines and sweet wines of Protected Designation of Origin: Banyuls, Banyuls Grand Cru and Collioure. Our founding fathers were able to send us their passion for the vine and wine as well as the values ​​of cooperation. After the revolt of 1905 growers, the founding fathers, 12 in total, were intended for direct sale of production to individuals. This project was only possible after the Great War (1914-1918). In 1921 the company finally saw the light, and the founding fathers could express their talent in this majestic cellar. To proceed with the aging of great wines, great wrath were transported by sea from the center of France. proudly wearing Catalan colors, these big vats shaped by Marcellin Albert contemporaries Raymond Pointcarré and Jean Jaurès, always contain our older vintages; cuvées decades that have made the Star of reputation within and away from roussillonnaises borders. To ensure marketing, cellar Star participated since its creation fairs and most famous fairs including the salons of Paris, which is decorated every year numerous medals: the guarantee of quality almost centennial. Even today the vast majority of our cellar are the descendants of our founders and are still attached to their shining Star.
