Leurvignoble sits on 36 communes located south of Carcassonne. The soils are mainly limestone clay formations Bartonian and gravel terraces of the Quaternary. The 3000 hectares of vines benefit from a transitional climate which blends Mediterranean and oceanic influences. These soil and climatic conditions are particularly favorable to the main grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for the reds, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc for white wines and Cinsault for rosé wines.
