Château La Bastide is a huge 180-hectare estate located in the Corbières appellation in the Aude department. 60 hectares are planted with vines, two-thirds of which are AOP Corbières and one-third IGP Aude Hauterives. The winemaker

The winery


Château La Bastide is a long-established winegrowing estate, with vine cultivation already reported on its land at the end of the 18th century. The vineyard benefits from an exceptional natural setting, extending over terraced clay-limestone terroirs covered with rolled pebbles. The grape varieties include Chardonnay, Viognier, Vermentino, Bourboulenc, Roussane, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Mourvèdre, Grenache Noir and Syrah.

Sustainable viticulture


The estate is run according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, and the couple are committed to preserving the life of the soil, biodiversity and the environment as a whole. Natural practices such as tillage and the use of organic fertilizers have been used for several years. The estate was awarded the HVE level 3 label in 2019 and is committed to converting to organic farming in 2021. The aim is to produce exceptional wines with respect for terroirs and people.

The wines


Château La Bastide offers a range of 14 cuvées in all three colors. These are fruity, gourmet wines with a silky mouthfeel. The estate has received numerous awards for the quality of its wines, such as the 2021 gold medal at the IGP de France competition for the Syrah vieilles vignes vintage 2019 cuvée, the 2021 gold and 2020 silver medals at the Grands Vins de Corbières competition for the Astrosa Rosé cuvée, femmes heureuses or the gold medal at the 2018 Grands Vins de Corbières competition for Istoria 1770 cuvée prestige, vintage 2015.
