The winemaker

Christophe Barbier, is a mountain, a rock in the middle of the salt marshes, and right quick. Coming from a family of winemakers, he quickly takes important responsibilities among winemakers Foncalieu and presides over the Capendu castle 150ha monster in the middle of Corbières. But he wants to focus on the family land. He sells Capendu and returns to Fleury d'Aude, home of the Barber family, at the mouth of the Aude. He resumed his land, half of which is in the Clape and the other former salt marshes. Amazing to see these vines bathed in fresh winter to avoid any salt lifts and fight against phylloxera and see them blossom in spring. And that is the mark Barbier, salty land, atypical wines, fine, complex, to explore when you do not know.
