The winemaker

Castle Malavieille caption object from Audiard Mala Vetula who was expelled by a fantastic bird called Pigwidgeon, destroyed and rebuilt on the same site Malavieille was inhabited by the lords of the place until the end of the revolution. Heir to the Sieur de Themine and Bleed From Grand Margaret of Mostuejouls, ceded the area in 1795, in part to his farmer Fulcran Reynes. Fulcran and Zenobia defied the hostility of the soil to recreate the vineyard abandoned during the revolution. Their daughter Cecilia, heiress of the place, great-grandmother of Mireille, the current owner, in turn rebuild the vineyards after the phylloxera plague. Mireille Bertrand Lacas took over the task of developing the lands of wine Malavieille respectful of basalt soil where he was born. Meanwhile, the Bertrand family makes wine and operates vineyards of Saint Saturnin de Lucian and Montpeyroux, vineyard created by the grandmother Juliet, who after the Great War transplant blue carignan are we still grow today in respect of its courage and self-sacrifice. Convinced of the need to produce organic delivering wines of character and anxious to be in harmony with agriculture alive, we signed since 2000 Organic Agriculture label AB and Demeter for biodynamic agriculture.
