The winemaker
The terroir of Pelissols is atypical. The vineyard is mainly planted on hillsides, installed on a fault ancient tectonic which induces a significant change in soil without a radius of 10 km. We find including gneiss, granite, basalt, sandstone moraine, shale and clay formations calacaires. This mosaic, far from being a drawback, allows the cultivation and optimal expression of different grape varieties foreigners in Languedoc. There are five varieties in the vineyards of Pélissols, of various origins, all acclimated to the conditions particular of our valley. Merlot, Syrah, Grenache for the reds, Chardonnay and Muscat for white.
