The winemaker
Domaine Sauzet was abandoned when, in 1995, François Massol, also creator and director of companies, bought the the Count of Rodez. Beautifully restored, the buildings (the fourteenth to the nineteenth century) and the old wine cellars are now surrounded by vineyards replanted in 1999 following a rigorous program, optimizing the quality of the soil. Syrah, Grenache, White Grenache, Mourvedre, Viognier, but also Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon complement the oldest vineyards, located near the village of Saint-Bauzille of Polecat and planted Merlot and old Carignan vines.
