The winemaker

Coming from a family of winemakers installed FITOU since the seventeenth century (the localities bear the name of the family), Pierre Abelanet took over the family property in 1975. After studying at the Lycée Charlemagne in Carcassonne, the obtaining a BEPA option viticulture-enology and level of Terminal OLT, he made his first harvest in the cooperative FITOU He was elected to the Board of the cooperative Fitou and as secretary for 5 years. Following divergeances economic policy, he left the cooperative in 1985 with four other winemakers and founded a private cellar in combination will work 15 years. Pierre Abelanet was responsible winemaking. After 15 years, the partners separate. Pierre Abelanet resumes a building and moved back in July 2001 in his basement called FIELD Capitat.
