The winemaker

Domaine Sainte LUCHAIRE is an appellation vineyards located on south facing slopes, the terroir Mourels. clay mixture and limestone, is ground marl, a sedimentary rock containing clay and limestone. sandstone benches is the other component of the soil, making it difficult to increase vine roots, but very typical of Minervois terroir. This land is called 'on sandy marls' and gives concentrated wines, warm and complex. On an amphitheater that slowly descends from the foothills of the Causses, the vineyard has a succession of Marly depressions and rocky ridges covered with scrub that allow it to benefit from exceptional sunshine, suitable for obtaining perfect maturities. Yves Bru, the current owner, continues a tradition of more than a century artisan winemaker. Concerned about the well-being of the earth and man, he practices viticulture. Microorganisms that live underground are beneficial and they nourish the vine. Avoiding unnecessary and bruise the earth to shake life underground, Yves weeds only when absolutely necessary and uses virtually no pesticides. Humus is constantly recreated with crushed vine shoots, and the cycle of the earth is subtly used to offer the consumer a friendly wine, excellent for health.
