Launched in 1998 with two varietal wines - Chardonnay and Shiraz, the brand FAT bastard has drilled in the US, becoming one of the first 3 French wine brands across the Atlantic. Indeed today, more than 4 million FAT bastard bottles that are sold in 16 countries each year. The story FAT Bastard is: Thierry (French oenologist) and Guy (his English agent and friend), created FAT bastard almost by accident. Thierry was conducting tests at the bottom of his cellar, leaving rest of the wines on the lees in oak barrels.
