The winemaker

Our exploitation, Sheepfold of the Capuchin stretches over twelve hectares, in the Pic Saint Loup land in the communes of Lauret and Valflaunès. A few kilometers from our house, the cellar and the vault, Capuchin of the Sheepfold still exists indeed: ownership of our family for over sixty years, she reminds us every day the memory of Joan, our grandmother, we wish to honor. Because wine is also a family history, the beauty and bouquet of aromas happy generation transmitted values ​​to generation. To embody our first vintage, Joan, shepherdess in the highlands of the Sheepfold Capuchin, elegant woman, beautiful and lively, has emerged, recalling the delicate and round notes of our wines and dirt roads she borrowed every day. Thirty-seven years after years to take care of the family property, I decided to make myself the winemaking field. A desire motivated by love of my land and the quality of fruit that I wish to honor the vineyards to the wine. Beyond a passion became profession and happiness to taste in a glass the result of my efforts, is also the desire to preserve a family estate and flavors of the land of my roots. I did not wait for the emergence of bio feel the need to exalt the scents of my land while respecting their pace and making sure to leave to future generations a preserved environment. In fact, I naturally oriented my work toward sustainable agriculture, observing flora, fauna, soils and seasons. I hope tomorrow to push further this commitment by equipping all buildings with photovoltaic panels, producing our own bio-fuel resources, or by collecting and treating wastewater. Only then, at the turn of healthy and respectful ways, as the notes of my wine will reflect my journey and express exactly what I aspire to share the love of my job, of land, suave, generous and delicate Pic Saint Loup.
