The winemaker

Located in the heart of the village of St Guilhem the desert, on the way to St Jacques de Compostela, the area of ​​the vault Verdus born in 2011. Melanie and Peter SUMMER daughter and handsome son of Guilhem and Sylvie BONNET, both oenologists , select 2ha family vineyards whose grapes were made for three generations in the wine cooperative. This selection is made on the terroir Terrasses du Larzac, in the municipalities of Aniane in "Brousses" and Saint Jean de Fos on the most qualitative plots located on slopes. Today our vineyard includes 6 ha shared between Syrah, Grenache Black and White, Cinsault, Carignan. We planted 1ha in 2005 Mourvedre because we particularly like this difficult grape variety but so extraordinary propitious years. Most recently in 2010 we planted an original grape variety in the region, Colombard, because we wanted to develop a fresh and vibrant wine. And now in 2018 we plant a beautiful plot of Carignan Black facing south in order to develop our vintage Le Grand Saut thanks to this variety adapted to our Mediterranean climate. Our vines are cultivated with respect for tradition, we cut and we harvested manually. We are certified Terra Vitis. The Vault of Verdus 4 wines produced in our image, genuine and friendly.
