The winemaker

The domain was created in 1960 on the place called "The Ricards Cres" in the town of Ceyras. 50 years later, Jean-Claude Mas y acquired these 28 hectares, fascinated by the fantastic terroir Terrasses du Larzac, capable of producing velvety wine with intense aromas. At the foot of Mount Baudile, this vineyard offers a unique geography, with its red earth, its slates and pebbles. Yields are low and the selection of severe bays for generous wines. In 2012, Jean-Claude Mas acquired the surrounding vineyards to the field, which today brings to 39 the number of hectares of Cres Ricards.
