The winemaker

Adele Olivier Arnaud and Gil are known on school benches and are both holders of the national oenology diploma. Having traveled the vineyards of the new world and spent a few years of practice with recognized French winemakers, they chose to settle in 2014 in the Haut-Languedoc, the Faugères appellation. They grow from their passion 8 hectares of old vines (some three times their age ..) planted on the slate hillsides features of this exceptional terroir. The planting is traditional, mainly composed of Syrah and Carignan old, to which are added a smaller proportion of Grenache, Mourvedre and Lledoner Pellut an old Languedoc grape. The average age of the vines is 33 years. The Mas Lou is located in Fos, a small town housed at the foot of the Cevennes, The vineyard is between 200 and 300 meters. This semi-altitude gives the wines of Mas Lou freshness and finesse, two essential characteristics of production. vignification To meet best work provides throughout the year to get a good harvest, the harvest is done by hand and transported to the winery in small containers of 40 kilograms.
