"le pavillon du grand clos" is, in our opinion, the most accomplished wine in the bourgueil appellation. Produced only in the best years, this confidential cuvée is deep and spicy, with rich tannins. Once fully digested, this dazzling wine will deliver all its complexity, for your enjoyment over two decades. 100% Cabernet Franc. 50-year-old vines. Flinty clay soil, south-facing slope. Only great years, very few bottles per year. Aged in demi-muids for 20 months. Keeps for at least 20 years.
