The winemaker

Taken over in 2018 by Guillaume and Marine de Rosnay, along with their 6 children, the Rochefort family estate is extremely well located, just a few kilometers south of Nantes, in the commune of La Haye Fouassière. Since then, the whole family has been working hard to give this century-old estate a new lease of life and to produce top-quality white wines. We have replanted vines, converted part of the estate to organic farming, aged some wines in oak barrels and created a range of 4 wines and a Méthode Traditionnelle. And in our spare time, we restore the house, a unique example of the industrialization of an 18th century wine estate. The house was listed in 2018. The Muscadets sur Lie and Méthode Traditionnelle produced at Domaine de Rochefort are wines in the image of this terroir: they combine finesse and elegance, with very mineral aromas and great freshness, while retaining a beautiful length on the palate.
