The winemaker

In 1959, at the age of 50 years that Pierre Papin acquired Pierre-Bise castle. In 1974 his son Claude decide to move back on 9 ha of origin that will gradually expand, especially in the late 80s with the resumption of vineyards from his father-in Rochefort, Thatch and Quarts-de -Chaume. A milestone was reached in 1992 with the integration of Clos Coulaine which bring additional label to property: Savennières. Finally it is with the arrival of the last generation, Christopher in 1997, and René in 2001, the vineyard will reach its current size of 50 hectares with the resumption of land whose Savennières Roche aux Moines.
