The pleasure shared wine At Domaine de la Garenne, Fabienne Benoit and welcome you to taste all of their wines and discover with them the shared pleasure of an inimitable wine. Historical Domaine de la Garenne is first and foremost a family affair. The first vines were harvested in 1820 by Jean-Louis Reverdy. A family story From the 60s, production increases. Therefore, the area will continue to be modernized: in the 70s, Dominique and Bernard-Noël Reverdy are building the winery and farm buildings. Regularly winning wines In 2008, their daughter and her husband Fabienne Benoit Godon took control of the Domaine de la Garenne. Today, it includes 12 hectares in the Sancerre appellation. Fabienne and Benoit will produce white, red and rosé wines, many of which have won awards. Terroir It is found in the Sancerre three types of soils: clay-limestone marl or "white land", hard or soft limestone ( "caillottes" or "cherries"), and finally the flint clays. Each brings its characteristics to the vine. A friendly growing Domaine de la Garenne operates in friendly growing plots distributed between these three types of terrain with, however, a predominance of "caillottes". Respect the authenticity of terroirs allows the expression of singular wines, complex and endearing. Sauvignon & Pinot Noir White wines are produced from sauvignon, red and rosé come from the Pinot Noir. A variety of wines is to discover the Domaine de la Garenne in the company owners to enjoy the most beautiful expression of the terroirs of Sancerre.
