The winemaker

The Domaine Pierre was born in 2007. To be precise, the area was baptized in 2007, but it is much older. The vineyard has existed since the late 19th century and was used successively by the families and Maurice Popineau throughout the 20th and early 21st century. Jean-Claude Maurice worked these vineyards sixties to 2007, when he forwarded them to Lionel GOSSEAUME. Although retired, Jean-Claude has not really won and remains attentive to "his" vineyard. He is not short of advice. No more than it is a mockery matter! Lionel GOSSEAUME is the current winemaker. He settled on the later, at 37, after the "truant vine" for quite a few years. He resisted, struggled not follow the family footsteps, without success! The virus has been right in his last strength and in 2007 he dives and takes this small vineyard. September vintages later, he has no regrets, on the contrary! Lionel GOSSEAUME is a native son: his first steps in the vineyards have been on the field of his parents, Danielle and Peter, located a few miles away. These, wineries and wine children, have managed to inoculate the consuming passion of the vine to their son. Lionel named this vineyard "Domaine de Pierre" in tribute to his father, who died some years ago.
