The winemaker

The field of clots is a family property with strong values, transmitted from father to son for generations. They perpetuate the family tradition while providing the means and modern techniques to ensure the best quality possible for their wines. The field of clots operates 21 hectares of vines in the Coteaux du Cher in the area AOC Touraine CHENONCEAUX and AOC Touraine. Their vineyard is established, for the most part on sandy soils with a variable proportion of flint called "parakeets" giving expression to the wines; the rest on calcareous clay land always associated with flint that give structured wines. The flint clay comprises the basement. Their plots Coteaux have exposure ranging from Southeast to Southwest, so enjoy maximum sunlight. After mechanical harvesting at the optimum time, they make wine in a modern winery (insulation, enameled and stainless vats, controlled fermentation temperature, cartridge filtration) and then perform the bottling themselves with the utmost care. The field of clots highlights the new prestigious appellation of Touraine Chenonceau, which brings together the best parcels of Touraine.
