The winemaker

At first he planted 1 acre 1000 vines. These vines were about 10 varieties of hybrid vines recommendation by an expert from the University of Guelph. In spring 2005, an additional 5 acres or 5,000 vines were planted which will allow the Domaine Perrault to achieve an annual production capacity of 11,000 bottles. Since that day, the dream of wanting to belong to a vineyard in the city of Ottawa has finally realized! Domaine Perrault was incorporated company in 2005 and its owners are Denis Lyse his wife and two daughters, Anne and Dominique. In early 2006, Domaine Perrault was licensed as a manufacturer of wine and a license to operate a store at the winery for tasting and sale of wine bottles. The main winemaker of Domaine Perrault, Marcel Sarrazin, a winemaker from over 40 years of experience, retired in September 2008 and was replaced by our new winemaker Bernard Martineau, a renowned oenologist Ottawa more 40 years experience. Sylvie Goulet joined our team in 2007 and was responsible for the wine shop and representative to restaurants and hotels in the region. In June 2010 she moved to British Columbia with his family. Sylvie was replaced by Julie Ricard. Julie Ricard, a graduate of Algonquin College sommelier course is currently ranked in the wine shop and represents the vineyard to restaurants and hotels in the area. Also his responsibility includes organizing and representation at various functions such as wine and cheese tasting as well as fairs and festivals.
