In a few words ...
Pink color with pleasant strawberry notes on the nose. Tender, fresh and fruity on the palate, with hints of sweet berries. Soils are characterized by sand, chalk and clay. Yields are limited to 60 hl/ha. After harvest, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 16-18°c for around twenty days. The use of wood is deliberately avoided to preserve the fresh, fruity character of the wines. In 1965, the Fleur family entered the wine business, buying what was then a small wine merchant's house on the banks of the Loire. Working closely with local winegrowers, Les Celliers du Prieuré now offer a qualitatively demanding range of varietal Loire wines, distinguished by their excellent value for money.
