The winemaker

The etymology of Jasson comes from the Middle Ages, the Jas termed the fold and by extension where the shepherds were meeting to go on transhumance. Embedded between the sea and the Massif des Maures, the land Jasson enjoy a Mediterranean climate extremely favorable to winemaking on a soil both shale and clay and limestone. Planted in AOP Côtes de Provence, the area raises a range of grape varieties: Tibouren, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Rolle, Sémillon, Ugni Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon; This diversity enables the development of true wines typed and rare wineries. The culture is based on the so-called reasoned culture performance limited by severe pruning and green harvest in July, hand picking, plowing rather herbicides against weeds, organic fertilizers and non-chemical. By doing so, the field deliberately takes the quality advantage. our Defresne Benjamin and his family, the vineyard and the wines are a passion. In the company of Jonathan newly entered the area it applies to personally make wine grapes in the field and develop rosé wines, white and red appreciated the beautiful restaurant and retail clients loving elegant wines of charm and aromas.
